Don is a three year old bear dog. He is owned by the bear hunter, Takeda Gohei. In the beginning of the story, Don follows Gohei to the mountains together with Riki and Aka. However, the hunting party gets ambushed by the monster bear Akakabuto and Don gets killed during the fight.
